Ciao e benvenuto.
Anch'io ho un Acer Aspire della serie 5 (anche se Acer is devil, come dice il
devil ...ops il Diaolin stesso) con lo stesso schermo.
Che scehda video ha? Il mio ha una ciofeca della Sis...
Io uso Mandriva 2006 e nelle risoluzioni proposte da Xfree trovo anche il
1280x800. Io per settarlo uso il tool di sistema di mandriva, ma credo si
possa fare anche con gli strumenti di kubuntu, o editando a mano i files di
configurazione di Xorg (aspetta che 'mo guardo...) che sono in /etc/X11, in
particolare xorg.conf
