[Linuxtrent] Lire performance trouble

I installed lire 1.4 on a SuSE 9.0 machine (CPU Athlon 1700, 512 Mb RAM, RAID 1 EIDE 120Gb).

I tried lire with a 480 Kb syslog file. If I use txt as output for lr_log2report everything works well (about three minutes). But everything it's very slow when I use html or pdf. dlf module is quite fast but xsltproc eats CPU and memory for about 40 minutes (ouch!).

Why?
