  Hey,

I don't think this has come up, but things have changed since I was able
to access the list. Maybe this too...?

  It's like this:

I'm running slack 10.0 (no updates) on an old laptop with one usb port.
I have three usb devices, & each mounts r+w just fine (although,
temporarily, I'm mounting both my flash drive & digital camera
via /dev/hd -- only flipping a # in front of the entry for each
in /etc/fstab when I want to mount one or the other).

  I have no usb hub.

While eventually, I wlll buy a hub, I'm disconnecting & connecting each
one as needed without unmounting anything (why? Well, my /home & a vfat
partitions -- which are in use when I do this -- are on an external 80Gb
drive). Occasionally (not every time), either /home or /win (the vfat
partition) or both will come up read only when I reconnect the drive to
the port after finishing with either of the other usb devices.

So, till I get work & buy a usb port, is there a way to either
make "mount --bind drivea driveb" come up r+w, or something else, to make
it happen?

  Meph
