Hey, Don't know how it happened, but either sendmail (from RH) hasn't been secure from my last install, or in dealing with all my hassles getting my private network working opened sendmail up to others. For some days spammers were relaying through my server. In the end, I had to completely shut sendmail down & am using my isp's smtp server. Two questions: 1. As I don't remember the commands one enters from another client to attempt to relay through a server, can someone provide me with those? 2. I'm looking at a sendmail config to not only illiminate relaying except for specific clients, but also to simplify sendmail's config. Does anyone have enough sendmail knowledge to verify the info here: http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue45/pollman/sendmail.html Sure, it's from Linux Gazette, but the sendmail.cf looks too simple to me (I may just be conditioned by sendmail's over complication of things, though).
