Hello Samuel,

Thanks for Your quickresponse. I have installed cups-fitlers along with cups. 
Cups is running and provides its web interface according to my config file. Is 
there something I need to do more than adding the embosser from the cups 
interface, or is cups-filters a complete different approach?

This is now directly supported by cups-filters, starting from v1.4.0.
There is notably good support for Index embosser.
