You catched a rare moment of the inner life of a small kid. Well observed.
I'm surprised by the tone of the flesh. I've seen that in other photos at my
photographer's. The process of the signal by the electronics inside of the
camera are the culprit. It "blueishes" the shadows.
But, I've seen some Kodak film with such response (Kodak Elite of 1995 as an
example....).
The Lens, Ah...the lens.
