Help!
I bought an X-Rite Display Munki monitor calibrator and now my display has a
slight magenta cast post calibration. I am attempting to adapt to it and let my
brain adjust to what my eyes are sending it, but my brain is refusing to adjust
to the slight pinkness of it all. Not to mention 3/4ths of my tv and movie
files look for crap now, and the interface and icons of my OS look
oversaturated now.
I'm on a MacPro with a Dell 24" U2410 Premium LCD. Running Snow Leopard, evenly
lit room with an opaque cloth blocking all sunlight, the monitor set to
'standard' mode, and I simply let the Software do it's think in 'easy' mode
after resetting the display to factory defaults.

I don't know what to make of it all.

I 'think' I've used a process identical to that shown at
'http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/stuff/' which is a UK website/blog where
the author has written a lot about colour management, reviewed the major
calibration offerings, and generally seems quite a good writer, photographer,
and intelligent fellow.

I'm not sure how to tell if my 'brain's' colour has always been slightly off or
did the calibrator take flyer or is busted somehow.

Theories, hypotheses, wild ass guesses, hard earned wisdom well shared: They
would all be Most Welcome at this Point :-D!

Sincerely,
Richard in Michigan
