Hello Philippe, thanks for taking a look, it just seemed to be the perfect amount of twilight for trying the lens out. I have better shots of the kiosk at night with a Tokina 12-24. But f 1.4 is tempting. As to getting closer, quite often the people hanging around kiosks tend to be getting towards the unfriendly side of drinking bottled beer and schnapps in copious amounts, so I think I was close enough :-) Cheers Douglas Philippe Amard wrote: > Nice shot Douglas > > Perhaps the lens was not the best choice for this type of photo - a > shorter focal length and getting closer to them would have improved the > photo in my opinion - but it proves really valuable in low light. > > Thanks for sharing > Phil...x > > > Douglas Sharp wrote: > > >> Just got it back from a CLA a couple of days ago and managed to take it >> out for a stroll this evening. >> Thios shot shows the Kiosk along by the canal bridge. >> It is typical German culture, in some circles, to hang around outside >> kiosks in the evening. >> >> http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DMS/New-Old-Pictures/_MG_5838_edited-1.jpg.html >> >> Hope you like it >> Cheers >> Douglas >> >> Technical stuff: Canon 20D, Kindai adapter, Rollei QBM mount Carl Zeiss >> 1,4/85mm (old versions) at ISO 400, almost 1/200th at f 1,4 >> >> ------ >> Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: >> http://www3.telus.net/~telyt/lrflex.htm >> Archives are at: >> //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/ >> >> >> >> > ------ > Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: > http://www3.telus.net/~telyt/lrflex.htm > Archives are at: > //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/ > > ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www3.telus.net/~telyt/lrflex.htm Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
