Very nice portrait! Was this near the Icefield parkway? One thing that
could improve the photo is some eye contact.
Thanks, Doug! He knew I was there, for he was slowly walking away from me.
OTOH, he was studiously ignoring me and eye contact was impossible. I got
some shots, about 8 km (5 miles) away of some does, with good eye
contact... but those shots are not as interesting - at least in my
mind. I'll post one or two when I'm back in town - early January.
Location? This guy was all by himself, about 50 yds off the road; about
20km east of Jasper.
Funny, everybody talks about the Icefields Parkway. It's a nice drive, but
I almost never see any wildlife there.
I'm hoping for more, in Logan Lake, over Christmas. Last spring I spotted
a Cinnamon Grizzly, but he got wind of me before I could get the 400
mounted, and so my only shot is of him disappearing into the bush. :( Of
course, no bears, of any kind, at this time of year!
Merry Christmas!
