Have found focusing wide angles on many digital SLRs to be a frustrating experience especially when compared to the viewfinder image of a Leica SL or R8. Leica micro prisms and rangefinder focusing screens are so optically superior there is no contest. Maybe it's the penta mirror vs a penta prism that is the main causality. If it was not for the visual focus confirmation on modern digital SLRs I'd have way more wasted shots for sure. So yes, it is a systems issue. And Howard, there are currently ROM adaptors for Leica R lenses to Canon digital EOS SLRs that have visual focus confirmation in the viewfinder - all 8 points in fact. Gotta love those Summicrons in the digital age. Peace, Patrick ----- Original Message ----- From: "William B. Now I understand. That is helpful in achieving a more accurate focus for wides on the Nikons compared to the Canons. Cheers Howard From: William B. " Any more problematic than with any other WA lens and camera body? Thanks, Bill
