[LRflex] DMR/ B+W mode question

Hey Folks,
Do any of you use the B+W mode on your DMR? Is that basically for
reviewing the image in B+W, even though the image is recorded in color? Have
you seen any advantage in working with this mode?
Also, what softwares are you folks using for your B+W conversions? Can
you do this in Phase One Capture?
