IMG: Boobies and more

It's not Mardi Gras in Hawaii.  They're a few species of sea birds in the 
Sulidae family, which includes Gannets.

Near the Sea Life marine theme park on the windward side of Oahu are a couple 
of islands where the Red-footed Boobies nest, along with other marine bird 
species.  The Boobies often fly past the the windward shore of Oahu at close 
range:

Brown Boobies are occasionally seen as well:

The Red-crested Cardinal is a common land bird in Hawaii. This species is 
native to South America:

and more common by far than the Cardinal is the Common Mynah, also not native 
to the Hawaiian islands:
