Graham,

I've looked at your website and enjoy the beautiful scenes of rural England. The shot, #210, you posted before is my favorite of the two this week. The fence post, wire, and the dark tall weeds to the right hold the image together and add interesting contrast to the golden flow of the wheat. If an image can be said to have a poetic quality, then I feel this one surely does.
It would be interesting to see how different lenses render this scene. I don't know how any other lens could have
made such a beautiful image as this. I don't have the
50mm DR, but would like to shoot one to compare to my newer lens. What was your aperture setting? Shutter speed?
