That’s a pretty amazing feat!

Greetings All:
I haven't posted anything for a while (y'all got almost two whole weekends of
no Hewetson ... but that is going to change). I just got back to Lubbock and
am too tired to get into details but I spent seven (plus) of the last nine
days birding in Rains, Van Zandt, Henderson, Kaufman, Cherokee, Smith, Gregg,
Upshur, Camp, Morris, Titus, Franklin, Delta, Hopkins, and Wood Counties and
am very happy to report that I have now identified 100+ species of bird in
all 254 of Texas' counties.
Best of all: my very first century club county (Howard) was achieved with my
brother, Martin Campbell, back in 1997 and my very last century club county
(Wood) was achieved with my brother, Martin Campbell, yesterday.
I will post some highlights over the next couple of weeks (as I get
opportunities to weed through field notes) but it has been a long nine days
and my immediate plans include nothing but the three post-trip Bs: a bath,
some bourbon, and a bad movie:)
