Many of our babies have fledged. We may have a total of 24 to 30 this year
from 7 pairs.
If anyone sees Martins and hear their calls to each other south of the loop
and from Indiana to Quaker Ave.'s
and north of 82nd street, they are probably from our colony.
I did not disturb the houses after the house sparrows gave up and so have
no actual count of babies. One pair is feeding much younger babies in the
"gourd" houses
