Spent 2 1/2 hours or so at the trail. Perhaps the most amazing aspect of the
trip was the fact that only two White-crowned Sparrows were present. The
hIghlight was a Rufous-crowned Sparrow. Other good birds were three Field
Sparrows, and one each Spotted Towhee, Curvebilled Thrasher, and Hermit Thrush.
Makenzie Park turned up a White-breasted Nuthatch, two American Goldfinches, a
Sora, and 6-8 Snipe.
