Hi Alan, At one point, we talked about publishing feature dictionary's on LandXML.org. It is a very good idea. I do have fairly extensive data on the specific elements supported by each registered LandXML application, but have yet had the time to stick it in a database and put it up on the web site. That database driven page would be a good place to find the applications published feature dictionary(s) and the feature dictionaries it supports, as well as sample files. That way both users and vendors can find the information. This is fine but as Hugh Dixon from LisTech kind of asked in a polite maner was "Where can he get this information?". Feature data in theory can be ignored, but in practise cannot, because customers can see the information in the file and then complain when it is not read. I think all the vendors are going to have to agree to document their use of the Feature element and then publish it on the LandXML web site. Otherwise, it is going to end up a huge mess, with customers being caught in the middle, and us the vendors having to pick up the pieces. Anyone care to add their comments?
