That's my understanding as well.

I found that section in the manual (coming from Roland synths, I was
surprised to find something of use in a synth manual!), but I thought I'd
set the baud rate properly. I'll mess around with it some more.

The big hangup now is not transferring files, tho - I was able to save my
presets to my computer as a sysex file, and I've been able to download the
patch collections with came bundled with the Korg Sound Editor software.
The sticking point is that I can't get either the sysex program or the Sound
Editor program to read a single one of the downloaded files I've got stored
on the computer's hard drive, even those ending in ".x5" or ".syx" (or am I
mistaken in thinking that's the suffix for a "sysex" file?).

If I stumble across a solution, I'll post it here. Thanks again,

Jim
