Hello! Many of you are probably aware of the regional (OR, WA, ID) Cascadia
Subduction Zone Earthquake and Tsunami exercise that's taking place next week.
Klamath County is participating on several different levels. I would like to
highly encourage you and the members of your departments and agencies attend
the kick-off event Tuesday June 7th from 0900-1100-ish. We will be featuring
presentations regarding the Cascadia hazards, what it means to Klamath County,
personal and business earthquake and disaster preparedness, and first responder
capabilities. And lots of door prizes! And opportunities to see products and
services from a couple of vendors.
This is a fantastic learning and preparedness opportunity both from a personal
readiness standpoint, as well as at the office. I hope you can find time to
