Leland:
I will miss another Fire Board meeting tonight. My schedule has been
topsy-turvy the last couple of months with leave and staff shortages.
Hopefully I can make it next month and be more regular.
Crater Lake update: Snow levels are near record lows. Currently we are at 34%
of normal snow on the ground, 45% of normal snow for the season, but at 109% of
normal precipitation. So we are getting more rain than snow so far this
winter. I am in the process of filling a couple of ranger vacancies and hope
to increase our structural firefighter numbers in the process. No structural
fire incidents in the recent past.
I am interested if there are anymore details about the proposal for an
emergency services training facility at KCC and what that could include for
structural fire.
Also, let me know when our dues are due or anything else I need to submit in
the near future.
