Honda hat sein fünftes chinesisches Montagewerk eröffnet, um seine Präsenz in
Südchina zu stärken, wie lokale Medien berichten. Die Fabrik von Guangqi Honda,
dem Joint Venture des japanischen Autobauers mit der Guangzhou Automobile
Group, hat vergangene Woche in Guangzhou die Produktion aufgenommen. Das Werk

Caterpillar kündigt massiven Stellenabbau an
Der US-Baumaschinen-Hersteller Caterpillar hat radikale Sparmaßnahmen
angekündigt. Innerhalb der kommenden drei Jahre sollen mehr als 10.000 Jobs
gestrichen werden. Angesichts der Schwäche der Energie- und Baubranche seien

Nachfrage der Autobranche sorgt bei Hella für Umsatzanstieg
Dank eines guten Marktumfeldes in Europa und Amerika sowie positiver
Währungseffekte hat Hella seinen Umsatz im ersten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres
2015/2016 um 14 Prozent auf 1,5 Milliarden Euro gesteigert. Allerdings sorgte
ein Lieferantenausfall für Mehrkosten, wodurch der operative Gewinn (Ebit) um
27 Prozent auf 69 Millionen Euro sank. Der Überschuss sackte um knapp ein

Yanfeng zeigt Innenraum des Jahres 2025
Der Innenraumspezialist Yanfeng Automotive Interiors hat auf der Automesse IAA
in einem Demo-Fahrzeug seine Ideen für das autonome Fahren und den SUV-Trend
vorgestellt. Dazu zählen etwa eine Mittelkonsole mit individuell
konfigurierbaren Ablagefächern und einem kühlbaren Stauraum oder ein dreh- und
ausziehbarer Tisch. "Entscheidend ist, dass wir unsere Arbeit vom Endkunden her
begreifen. Was er wünscht, bestimmt die Entwicklung", unterstrich Vorstand Han

Analysten blicken weniger optimistisch auf japanische Konzerne
Analysten erhöhen inzwischen seltener die Gewinnprognosen für Japans größte
Unternehmen für das Geschäftsjahr 2015. Dies gilt vor allem für Konzerne, die
den Unsicherheiten der Weltwirtschaft ausgesetzt sind. Zu den Bereichen, die
besonders niedrige Werte aufweisen, zählen Rohstoffe sowie elektrische
Maschinen und Präzisionsgeräte. Unter anderem signalisieren verschiedene
chinesische Indikatoren eine Verschlechterung des Geschäftsklimas in der

Auftragsflaute am Bau hält im Juli an
Die Auftragsflaute im deutschen Baugewerbe hat auch im Juli angedauert. Der
reale Ordereingang ging im Vergleich zum Vormonat saison- und arbeitstäglich
bereinigt um 1,0 Prozent zurück, wie das Statistische Bundesamt bekanntgab.
Gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum fiel der bereinigte Auftragseingang um 4,4
Prozent. Damit verzeichneten die Baufirmen in den ersten sieben Monaten dieses

Honda opens fifth assembly plant in China
Honda Motor has opened its fifth Chinese assembly plant to expand its presence
in southern China, local media report. The plant of Guangqi Honda, the Japanese
automaker's joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile Group, launched production
in Guangzhou last week. It initially will build up to 120,000 vehicles a year,
increasing Honda's production capacity in the country to 1.08 million vehicles,

Caterpillar announces massive job cuts
U.S. construction machine maker Caterpillar has announced radical cost-cutting
measures. It plans to cut more than 10,000 jobs in the next three years. In the
light of the sluggish energy and construction sector, Caterpillar expects worse
commercial operations. The corporation reduced its revenues forecast for 2015

Demand from the automotive industry gives Hella's revenues a boost
Thanks to a favorable market environment in Europe and America as well as
positive currency effects, Hella boosted its revenues by 14 percent to 1.5
billion euros in the first quarter of fiscal year 2015/2016. However, the loss
of a supplier created additional costs, dragging down operating profits (ebit)
by 27 percent to 69 million euros. Net income dropped by almost a third to 43

Yanfeng shows interior of the year 2025
Car interior specialist Yanfeng Automotive Interiors has presented a vehicle at
the IAA Motor Show containing its ideas for autonomous driving and the SUV
trend. This includes, for instance, a center console featuring cooled storage
space and shelf compartments that can be individually adjusted or a rotatable
and extensible table. It is crucial that we understand our work based on the
needs of the end customer, says Han Hendriks, Vice President of Advanced
Product Development and Sales at Yanfeng. What the customers wants determines

Analysts less bullish on Japanese corporations
Analysts have cut back on upgrades to their fiscal 2015 earnings forecasts for
Japan's biggest corporations, particularly for companies exposed to the
uncertainties of the global economy. Areas showing particularly low readings
include basic materials and electrical machinery/precision equipment. Various
Chinese indicators signal worsening business sentiment in the world's

Order stagnation in construction industry continues in July
The dearth of orders in the German construction industry continued in July as
well. The number of real incoming orders dropped by 1.0 percent compared to the
previous month, adjusted for seasonal effects and working days, Germany's
Federal Office of Statistics said. Compared to the same period a year ago,
adjusted incoming orders fell by 4.4 percent. The number of orders received by
the construction firms therefore dropped by 0.1 percent in the first seven
months of the year, compared to the same period a year ago. (DPA - September
