General Motors (GM) hat angekündigt, in den kommenden Jahren eine Milliarde
Dollar zu investieren, um Indien zu einem globalen Export-Drehkreuz zu machen.

Umsatz und Gewinn gestiegen: Nissan legt deutlich zu
Dank der starken Nachfrage in den USA, China und Europa konnte Nissan seinen
Weltmarktanteil im ersten Geschäftsquartal auf 6,5 Prozent ausbauen und 4,4
Prozent mehr Fahrzeuge absetzen. Der Nettogewinn kletterte zwischen April und
Juni um 36,3 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum auf 152,8 Milliarden Yen

Daimler und Renault-Nissan: Joint Venture in Mexiko
Fünf Jahre nach dem Start ihrer strategischen Kooperation haben Daimler und die
Renault-Nissan Allianz ihre Zusammenarbeit mit der Gründung eines
Produktions-Joint-Ventures im mexikanischen Aguascalientes deutlich ausgebaut.
In die neue Gesellschaft Compas (Cooperation Manufacturing Plant
Aguascalientes) werden beide Partner insgesamt eine Milliarde Dollar
investieren. Das 50:50-Joint-Venture wird den Bau sowie den späteren Betrieb
einer neuen Fabrik zur Produktion von Premium-Kompaktfahrzeugen der Marken

SAIC hilft Batterie-Lieferant Wanxiang Group beim Bau eigener Fahrzeuge
Die Wanxiang Group, ein bekannter Autoteile-Hersteller in China, könnte schon
bald selbst komplette Fahrzeuge bauen. Geschäftspartner SAIC hilft dem
Unternehmen, bis Ende Juli die erforderliche Lizenz zu erlangen. Um dies zu
erreichen, haben die SAIC Motor Corporation und die Wanxiang Group ein
49:51-Joint-Venture namens SAIC Wanxiang New Energy Coach Co., Ltd. gegründet.

Mann + Hummel streicht in Deutschland 500 Stellen
Der Filterspezialist Mann + Hummel baut 500 seiner insgesamt etwa 6.100
Arbeitsplätze in Deutschland ab. Als Grund gab die Firma unter anderem an, dass
es nicht mehr möglich sei, wettbewerbsfähig zu produzieren. Neben den 275
Stellen, die am Stammsitz in Ludwigsburg wegfallen, werden auch an anderen
Standorten Jobs wegfallen, erklärte eine Sprecherin am 20. Juli und bestätigte

Trumpf und Fraunhofer IPA forschen gemeinsam
Der Werkzeugmaschinen- und Laser-Hersteller Trumpf hat eine fünfjährige
strategische Kooperation mit dem Fraunhofer-Institut für Produktionstechnik und
Automatisierung (IPA) geschlossen. Im sogenannten "Trumpf Lab" wollen die
Partner gemeinsam Grundlagenforschung zum Thema Industrie 4.0 betreiben. Ziel
ist die Verankerung der dabei gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in der Blechbearbeitung.

Mann + Hummel to cut 500 jobs in Germany
Filter specialist Mann + Hummel is axing 500 of its around 6,100 jobs in
Germany. The company said the reason for the move is that it is no longer able
