Autonomes Fahren: Conti kooperiert mit Nexteer
Continental baut das Zukunftsgeschäft um das autonome Fahren mit einer neuen
Partnerschaft aus. Der Automobilzulieferer hat mit dem US-Zulieferer Nexteer
ein Gemeinschaftsunternehmen angekündigt, das sich auf elektronische Lenk- und
Bremssysteme für Anwendungen des automatisierten Fahrens konzentrieren soll.
Die zwei Firmen sollen mit je 50 Prozent an dem Joint Venture beteiligt sein.

Magna will in Graz ordentlich Gas geben
Magna International strebt ein deutliches Umsatzplus bei Komplettfahrzeugen aus
Graz an. Dort betreibt der kanadische Autozulieferer weltweit sein einziges
Werk, in dem ganze Fahrzeuge zusammengebaut werden. Mit einem Werksausbau und
rund 3.000 neuen Mitarbeitern soll der Umsatz dort kräftig steigen. 2016
entfielen auf Magna Steyr bis zu 2,2 Milliarden Euro Umsatz. Für 2017 sind nun

Voith verkauft Kuka-Anteile
Der Technologiekonzern Voith hat durch den Verkauf seiner Anteile am
Roboterhersteller Kuka an den chinesischen Investor Midea kräftig verdient. Es
seien knapp 1,2 Milliarden Euro erzielt worden, teilte Voith am 11. Januar mit.
Innerhalb von nur eineinhalb Jahren hatte sich der Wert von Voiths

Honeywell hat eine Kooperation mit Aereon bekanntgegeben. Dabei geht es um

Things (IIoT) werden. Das Inspire Ökosystem ist Teil von Honeywells Connected

Autonomous driving: Conti cooperates with Nexteer
Continental is expanding its future-mobility business in the field of
autonomous driving by striking a new partnership deal. The automotive supplier
has announced the launch of a joint venture (JV) with U.S. supplier Nexteer,

autonomous driving applications. The two firms are set to each hold a 50

Magna looking to step on the gas in Graz
Magna International is looking to substantially boost revenues from
complete-vehicle production in Graz. The Austrian city is home to the Canadian
automotive supplier's only plant worldwide that assembles entire vehicles. An
expansion of the plant and the hiring of around 3,000 new employees are set to
lead to a substantial jump in revenues at the facility. The Magna Steyr unit
accounted for revenues of up to 2.2 billion euros in 2016, a figure that the

Voith sells Kuka stake
ERFA Technology group Voith has earned well by selling its stake in German
robot maker Kuka to Chinese investor Midea. The company received almost 1.2
billion euros for the stake, Voith said on January 11. The value of its
25.1-percent stake in Kuka had about doubled in just 18 months, Voith added.
