I just wanted to take this opportunity and thank Chip
and Marilyn for hosting the picnic. It was obvious
that they did a lot of work to make this event a
success.
Unfortunately it was not as big of a success as it
could have been. Many decided not to attend even
though they were given many months notice of the
picnic.
I can understand if plans were made and people had
commitments that prevented them from coming but I can
assure you, that several just decided not to bother.
Personally I don't know why some of you able members
are members of this club. I notice the usual suspects
who never help out or attend any event.
This is just not my opinion, there were several who
attended that were very disappointed at the turn-out.
I hope we can do better and if not, we should just
cancel all events.
