RAC would like to welcome Guy Richard, VE2QG/VE2XTD, as our new Director =
for the Quebec Region. Guy was unanimously appointed by the RAC Board of =
Directors and will complete the remainder of a two-year term that =
started on January 1, 2016 and will end on December 31, 2017.

Guy was born and raised in Montr=C3=A9al and grew up in Qu=C3=A9bec =
City. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from =C3=89cole =
Polytechnique de Montr=C3=A9al in 1968 and obtained his Master=E2=80=99s =
degree from Polytechnique in 1969. Upon graduation, he began his career =
as a Bridge Engineer including as a Government Bridge Engineer from 1976 =
to 2008 and as the Head of the Bridge Department of the Ministry of =
Transport of Quebec (Transports Qu=C3=A9bec) from 1992 to 2008. Guy =
worked for Dessau Engineering from 2008 to 2015 before joining Stantec =
in 2016.

Guy was first licensed as an Amateur in 1990 and he obtained his =
Advanced certificate in 1991. He is active on HF, VHF and UHF and has =
participated in many community activities since 1992.=20

From 1992 until 2015, he held many positions with Club Radio Amateur de =
Qu=C3=A9bec (CRAQ) including Director and as its President for three =
terms. Guy has been a Director with Radio Amateur du Qu=C3=A9bec Inc. =
(RAQI) since 2003. He served as its Vice-President for three years and =
is currently its President.=20

Guy has been a member of Radio Amateurs of Canada since 1993 and served =
as RAC=E2=80=99s First Vice-President in 2008.
