Hi Tom,

Congratulations on being voted president. I haven't looked at the site in a while and was pleasantly surprised to see you are now the top dog!

I was still listening after I checked in to the repeater net that time a few months ago when you started explaining that I talked to you about amateur radio years ago. I had completely forgotten about our little conversation while walking down the hall at KPH until that moment! Seems to me you had a CB in your motor home at the time and you were retiring within 6 months to a year.

The main reason that I am writing is that I was talking to an instructor at SLC and he was wondering about having a representative talk to his communications electronics class. The unfortunate thing is it is probably on Dec 14.

He told me that he had sent an email to an address on the site and had heard no reply as of yesterday. His name is Derek Troyer and he is teaching communications theory to a small group (7 if everyone is there) of students that have been taking AM, FM, SSB and radio propagation. His last class date is Dec 13th.

If you could find his email or give me the contact information for the "public relations officer" so that I can pass it on to Derek, I would appreciate it.

Thanks and hope to talk to you on the air soon.

PS. I have persuaded Al Laverty, VE3ASL, to drag his 2m gear out of a dusty old box and he is now back on the air.
