It appears Cottage Life Magazine fouled up.
Today I went for a tour with Geogranny and decided to snoop out the cache that
is supposed to be in our neck of the woods. Namely N 44° 47.756 W 076° 06.618.
I had just stuck my head into some cedars when a vehicle drove by and then
returned.
They saw only Geogranny and decided to question her and turned around to do so.
If they had seen me they would have called the O.P.P. on us.
It turns out they had stopped one other group a few weeks ago and were not
happy. The road into the area is PRIVATE PROPERTY which they own and the
supposed cache site is PRIVATE PROPERTY of a local cottager. Neither of these
owners or anyone else in the area even knew about the contest or even gave
permission.
After a nice chat with them and explaining Geocaching to them and the contest
in Cottage Life they seemed to be a little relieved the contest is almost over.
So just in case anyone was going to attempt this cache on Sunday, DO NOT GO
THERE, please.
