Ed-
Could you send this out to the JYO pilots list?
Thanks,

Looking for pilots to fly Ft. Belvoir wounded, ill or injured soldiers on
Saturday October 15th.
Are you available to volunteer as a pilot for Wings of Appreciation on Saturday
October 15th? Weather permitting, we will be taking Ft. Belvoir
wounded, ill or injured soldiers on a scenic “leaf peeping” tour, departing
HEF as a group and flying a predetermined route. Lunch to be provided to all
participants. Sunday October 16th is rain
date for this event. If you are a pilot with a plane and interested, or know
of someone else that may be interested, please contact me for more details.
Each plane must be capable of carrying, in addition to the pilot, both a
soldier and their NMA (non-medical
aide, e.g. spouse, friend or parent) who will accompany the soldier on the
flight. Right now we are in need of 10 aircraft. We will get a final count of
soldiers a few days before the event, and this number could increase.
Your flight is a charitable contribution. For more information on Wings of
Appreciation, a 501(c)(3) organization: www.wingsofappreciation.com
Feel free to contact me privately via email or phone with any questions or to
volunteer for this event.
Many thanks for helping our soldiers and veterans.
