Hi Leslie and All,

I'd been thinking that most of you had received this notice, but I don't
see it in any of my other Juno accounts, so I thought I'd "Forward" it
along... maybe my other posts on this subject would make a bit more
sense.

Subject: Fixing your Web-based e-mail
Reply-To: webmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Juno member,

Over the past several weeks, you may have noticed that Juno's Web-based
e-mail interface has not been working well. (Our main e-mail system has
been working fine, but the Web-based interface has repeatedly broken.)
This problem is the result of our relying on a third party whose systems
have malfunctioned and, despite our repeated requests, have not been
fixed. We want you to know that we are as disappointed and unhappy as
you are with the Web-based e-mail service that you have received from us
recently.

In an effort to fix this problem, we have developed our own Web-based
e-mail system to replace the one we have until now been getting from a
third party. The new system is designed to provide you with better, more
reliable Web-based e-mail service, so that you can read and write your
Juno e-mail from any Internet-connected computer without having to worry
about whether the system is working.

While we're still putting the finishing touches on some of the features
of this replacement service, we feel it is important to let you start
using it right away, since we believe that even in its current form it
should be more reliable than the third-party service we have been
providing. To try the new Web-based e-mail service out, go to
http://beta-webmail.juno.com .

Please understand that this system is still in an early "beta test"
stage. All the main functions are working, but you may come across one
or more bugs, and you may find aspects of the system you'd like to see
improved. If so, please let us know -- your feedback will help us make
the service the best it can be. Please send any feedback or comments
about the new system to webmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .

One thing you will notice is that the address book on the new system will
not contain any e-mail addresses you stored in your old Web-based e-mail
address book. Similarly, you won't see any old e-mail you stored in
folders or kept in your Inbox under the old system. If you want to
access your old address book or e-mail, you will need to do so by
accessing the old Web-based e-mail system.

We hope you will try the new system and let us know what you think of it.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Greg Hodes
