Yet again my family is trying to use what we laughingly call our brains. Not for the first time we've decided that by buying Christmas presents in November, we escape the usual December panic attacks. It doesn't work! We just experience palpitations during both November and December.
It struck me we on the list might be able to throw up ideas for presents for spouses, sons and daughters. Small grandchildren aren't a problem; they don't suffer from the "if I wanted one I would already have bought it" syndrome. In the case of our small grandson I just look for a present for him that his father will enjoy playing with. For his son simply opening the parcels seems to outshine what's in them.
