A simple question revealing an uncomfortable truth. In later years I almost
exclusively used the controller software because FSX wouldn't run on my PC at
that time. After I upgraded I put FSX back - and it worked - but I never really
used it. I bought the original P3D too and that is on my PC somewhere but I
can't remember ever using it, though I assume I must have.
I could probably get P3D running again. The embarrassment is that I have almost
completely forgotten the key commands to use it. As for multiplayer I have no
idea what is used these days as my last flights must have been with Teamspeak
2. It may need cobwebs blowing off from the PC as well as my failing brain. J

Subject: [jhb] JHB mini outing
Hello all
Mike B and I met up earlier today for a visit to the Photography Show at the
NEC in Birmingham. ETA was 10.30 and, thanks to years of rigorous company
training at JHB and Noble Air, I arrived bang on time with the other Mike
actually a few minutes early!
After a rather disappointing trip to the Cosford flight sim show with Mike B
back in October, today's event was quite something. This was the last of the
four days of the show and I had expected fewer crowds - but it was absolutely
heaving ... and for good reason. I think every imaginable aspect of
photography and its associated hardware, software and culture were present
there, either at display stands or lectures (or both). I think Bones would
have been drooling over some of the kit there, particularly some very
sophisticated aerial stuff.
Unsurprisingly conversation included some JHB reminiscences. Neither of us are
as active in flight sim as we used to be - well, we've both got a lot of hours
on the clock and aren't as airworthy as we once were. Some of the replacement
parts required just aren't available any more. But I think we could both
manage, and enjoy a one-off fly-in for old times sake ... is this a
possibility, or is there just not the interest there among the rest of you?
Best regards to one and all.
