This location ties up with my own UK Airfield data and is the site I've
marked in my Google Earth KML file. It features a strip marked 10/28 with
the hangar next to the house at the WEST end of the strip.

And Gerry says:

This site I have no information on at all. If the A465 is supposed to run
past the eastern end of the airfield then the strip has to be west (actually
northwest) of the A465 and therefore on the opposite side of the A road to
the known airfield. I can't see any strip in that area and I think they've
confused the A465 with the railway line.

Hunting further for the unknown site brings me to a mown strip at Wellington
Coppice but this is SE of the known strip and south of the railway line.
This is a NW/SE strip crossing a paved track and adjacent to 13 processing
sheds. The strip is unmarked but it is evident in GE back to 2001 - the 2006
image is probably the clearest. If this is an active strip I have no details
on it - but I must add that some strips are totally private operation with
the owners asking me to remove the details from the UK Catalogue.

Having accepted, as I fell out of bed this morning, that yours might be
the rightful Broadmeadow Farm, I now have my doubts. I was slightly
distracted, last night, by watching webcam coverage of Queen Elizabeth
arriving at Sydney. This morning I read the Lockyeras' notes on
Broadmeadow Farm more carefully. Therein it states "Note another strip
just South of this one". Since my version is just North of your choice,
it seems likely that mine is the Lockyears version. It would be nice to
know the name of yours.

The obvious way out, between consenting adults, is to do both, under the
title "Broadmeadow Farm and Son". In fact I'll just do two menu entries;
Broadmeadow Farm North and Broadmeadow Farm South.

Thereby I rest my case but will you please shift those poles off of my
runway!
