Muïc ñích cuûa haõng kinh doanh tröïc tuyeán khoång loà naøy laø laøm cho
dòch vuï thö ñieän töû treân web hieän nay cuûa hoï coù theå hoaït ñoäng
töông töï nhö öùng duïng e-mail treân moâi tröôøng desktop.
Caûi tieán ñaùng keå nhaát laø Yahoo! Mail seõ cung caáp tính naêng
"caching" cho pheùp ruùt ngaén thôøi gian truy caäp, phaûn hoài, xem tröôùc
thoâng ñieäp vaø chöùc naêng keùo - thaû. Dòch vuï môùi döïa treân coâng
ngheä maø Yahoo coù ñöôïc khi mua laïi haõng Oddpost thaùng 7 naêm ngoaùi.
Ñaây ñöôïc coi laø cuoäc chuyeån bieán quy moâ vaø coù yù nghóa nhaát töø
khi haõng baét ñaàu cung caáp dòch vuï vaøo naêm 1997.
Moät soá ñaëc ñieåm khaùc bao goàm khaû naêng tìm kieám nhanh tieâu ñeà
e-mail, noäi dung thoâng ñieäp vaø file ñính keøm, môû ñoàng thôøi nhieàu
thö treân cöûa soå rieâng bieät, hay xem taát caû caùc tieâu ñeà thö trong
cuøng moät thö muïc, thay vì phaân taùch thaønh nhieàu trang nhö hieän nay.
Phieân baûn naøy cuõng coù theâm tính naêng töï ñoäng caäp nhaät ñòa chæ,
caûi tieán menu chuoät phaûi vaø phím taét. Dung löôïng moãi hoäp thö mieãn
phí duøng baûn môùi seõ vaãn laø 1 GB.
Moät löôïng khaùch haøng nhaát ñònh seõ ñöôïc cho pheùp duøng thöû baûn beta
trong vaøi tuaàn tôùi, vaø phieân baûn chính thöùc seõ ñöôïc ra maét sau
vaøi thaùng nöõa. Ngöôøi söû duïng e-mail cuûa Yahoo coù theå quyeát ñònh
caøi phieân baûn môùi thay theá baûn cuõ hoaëc duøng song song caû hai. Dòch
vuï hieän ñang hoaït ñoäng treân Internet Explorer vaø Firefox. Yahoo cuõng
seõ sôùm hoã trôï caùc trình duyeät coøn laïi trong thôøi gian tôùi.
Trong thaùng 5, haõng dòch vuï tröïc tuyeán khoång loà naøy ñaõ ra maét tính
naêng göûi vaø chia seû 300 aûnh soá trong moät e-mail. Ñaàu thaùng 6, haõng
ñoái thuû AOL cuõng chaøo haøng chöông trình e-mail 2 GB mieãn phí, trong
khi Google ñaõ nhaân ñoâi dung löôïng Gmail leân 2 GB töø hoài thaùng 3.

There is no option for specifying how long you want to suspend receiving
emails from the JFW list, nor can you suspend emails from the list by
sending a message to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You can temporarily suspend email from the list by doing the following:
1. Send a message to: jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx which contains the
following text in the subject field:
set jfw vacation
You do not need to put anything in the message body; just send it, and you
will get an automated reply confirming your request.
2. When you are ready to start receiving JFW list emails again, send
another message to:
jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
and in the subject field put the following text:
unset jfw vacation
You will get a confirmation after sending this request, and your JFW list
emails will resume. That's all there is to it.
