xp and jaws

okay I got all the settings that are recommended set on the new
computer.Next I have to get it connected to the internet. I went to
Microsoft money 2004 and it has a wav file that speaks and tells you what
you can do. this for some reason knocks out jaws. I went in to the
configuration manager and to synthesizer options and checked it to allow a
wav file with jaws. This worked for a little while when I went back into
money but jaws went away again. I used narrator to just shut down the
computer. anyone know why this is happening. I am almost positive I have it
connected to have it working.
