word 2000

I have word 2000, windows 98se, jaws 5.0884. Whenever I go too to word, and
then from there, go into Outlook Express, it says menu and says 000002/ and
will not let me read any of my messages, until I restart. Does anyone know
why this happens, and if there is a way to fix it? Thanks. Glenna
