Except for the "good sound quality" requirement that is (I assume you
meant from the built-in speakers?). I believe it's ok, but you don't
get anything like good sound quality until you move up to the very large
and heavy desktop replacement laptops (the ones that weigh near 8
pounds).
Still, if you're using a laptop you are likely to be using headphones,
or the same external speakers you would have used on your desktop.
I just bought a Dell inspiron 14 inch laptop, and while I don't know how
it differs from the xps 1530, I'll point out that it's smaller because
it has only a 14 inch screen, and that makes it smaller and
lighter-weight, and usually cheaper, but the same in capabilities.
Whether you want an inspiron or xps series I can't say.
