Unfortunately, it would be nearly impossible to do the install from memory.
You could memorize the steps in order, but so much of the Windows XP install
depends on your particular machine that it is almost guaranteed to ask
something you're not expecting. The auto-install should work OK, from what
I've read from the later posting, I would also recommend trying this.

can a blind memorize the steps to complete the XP install?
Aren't the steps the same?
