Dear Friends,

Well, this message cheered me up!

Thanks very much!

You know the old saying:

"Misery likes company!"

And it does make me feel a lot better that I am not the only one having a hard time learning this "Ribbon Thing" and suffering through the learning curb!

Thanks!

With Best Regards,
Alan

i feel sorry for the newly blind person that has to learn all this ribbon stuff from the bottom up, especially if they have never used a computer before. and if you are a senior, my gosh. my mother tells me she will have to give up the use of her computer now because it is just too difficult. a lot of folks just do not have assistance, they get too frustrated and now she is just giving up. being her daughter and totally blind ihave decided to go back to the training and just lisiten till i get it. learning new things for me is productive way to pass the time and try to keep the mind keen. karen

Don't feel bad, I'm going through the same curve. I think that in the long run, we're better off just learning the ribbon. It's not going anywhere. Although, right now, I'd like to throw it out of the window.

Dear Kenny,
Thanks very much for that kind offer, but I only have JAWS 11.

I suppose I need to look at getting JAWS 12, but since I do not have any more SMA's, and I am hoping they will get all the bugs out of that version before I purchase it, well I will wait a bit more! Besides, I understand that the "virtual ribbon" is not a total "fix", it only helps out a bit, is that correct?

Wow, I have been using the JAWS Menu bars since 1999, with JAWS 3.3!

And although I feel I am making a little progress getting the hang of it, I see it will be a slow learning curb!
A completely different thing!

Thanks again!
