switching to supervisor

Greetings. I am getting a prompt that says only my network supervisor can
change the settings of a certain program. Odd because I am the lone occupant of
this computer. JFW 5.1, XP with SP2. How do I switch to supervisor? I want to
be the boss now. gwc
