A friend of mine, bought a Western Digital USB 1TB drive from Best Buy for
$209 (including New York City Sales Tax).

He said that Tiger Direct would probably be cheaper.

I have one of these drives myself and I like it very much.

I use an external hard disk regularly to backup my important files. The
external hard disk connects to the PC through a USB cord just like a
pendrive. Once connected, you can navigate through the drives on the
external disk in a manner similar to the way you move through the drives
on
your internal hard disk.

I did not need to install any additional software to run/ operate the
external hard disk.

I prefer using an external hard disk to using DVD's or online storage
solutions. An external hard disk of about 250 GB or 512 GB would be
suitable
for storing your mp3 collection.

Just my opinion.
