sending files

When I want to send a group of files to a particular person, for instance I
have a folder called Alan Jackson and in that are two albums, can I send
each album by selecting it and then zipping and sending it, or do I need to
go within each album and select each song separately and send as a separate
file. Or, can I do a select all of all the songs in an album and send it
zipped? Sorry I thought this was making better sense than it has, but help
would be appreciated.
