Crystal. I'm afraid that my husband really wasn't paying attention to me
when I asked him about this earlier, smile. I brought it back up and he
said oh well I can just left click in the field and it deletes the Start new
search. He's a pretty good husband, so I didn't give him too much grief
about it, grin.
So they don't to select it and delete it after all. I tried this with jaws
to left click but it doesn't clear it.

Tom said it isn't any different. I mean they can select the text with the
mouse, but they still have to select the text and delete it. But yes you
refined it even more, smile. I didn't think about the fact that once it was
selected, you could just starting typing and it will replace it. You don't
have to hit the delete key after you press control A. Well we got there one
way or another, ha ha.

Thanks, John and Debbie for answering my question.

Actually, Debbie, I tried a different method after reading your message and
it seems a bit better.

Insert F5, the first item is the search field, enter, control+a, and then
start typing in the search string.

I admit I am rather curious as to how a sighted person uses this search
field. It just seems awkward having to clear the edit field before you can
enter the text.
