Actually the folders in OE are database files with .dbx extention. To save your mesages you must save all the files representing the folders. . You can't press enter on those files and see the list of messages. Those files are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\here are different letters and numbers\Microsoft\Outlook Express. If your system is installed on d: for example you must change the drive letter. When you copy the folder containing those .dbx files, you can import them later if your pc crashes. You can choose to import all folders or some, but remember, you should copy them all, or OE won't let you import if some are missing.

Subject: saving OE folders

Can someone tell me how I can save a folder from my outlook express. I would
like to save the whole contents of the folder without having to save each
individual e mail one at a time.
I hope this makes sense.
thanks for any assistance.
