reading the digest

I'm just curious - what's with all the repeated messages in the digest?
Does anyone else have trouble reading the digest form of this list? I'll
come across the same message four or five times in each digest and it makes
it very difficult to stick with it so to speak.

I've been on other lists where sometimes, people responding to a particular
message in the digest, will neglect to erase the other fifty or so messages
in the digest and as a result, you wind up with "nested" digests that take
forever to download to say nothing about the confusion in reading them.

I wonder if that's happening here? Anyway, to read this thing, I do a jaws
search on "subject:" and just keep hitting the F3 key to find next
occurances. If I hear "Greater" I know its a repeated message and hit F3
again to skip over it. When I find a subject line that interests me (and
that doesn't begin with a greater than sign) I can do a control down arrow
to read the first paragraph.

Usually, repeated messages have one or more ">" signs in front of them and
that's not always the case in this list digest which is adding to the
confusion. So, is it just me, or is this driving others away from reading
the digest as well?
