At least when there is no preview pane, you don't automatically open bad e-mail. With the preview pane on, once you see the e-mail, it's already too late. One more thing. For those using JAWS and not checking the spelling, it's p a n e in this case, not p a i n . Granted, it can be a PAIN if you open up a virus-infested e-mail.
