Hi Dave,

I've owned Easy CD/DVA Extractor for several versions, and I've had very
mixed results with it in terms of Jaws accessibility and usability. I can't
see any pattern to my ups and downs, as if I knew things changed when a
version changed. I have no idea what the problem is.

For a time, I was able to tab or control tab among the various functions
(rip, convert file type, etc.) and then tab through the settings, get
everything the way I wanted it, and perform the function using the Tools
Action item or its hotkey equivalent. Sounds okay, right? But other times,
like now with Version 11.5-something (the latest), I can't reliably tab or
control tab from one function to another, so I'm just stuck in the file type
converter function because this was the last function I managed to use. No
matter what I do, I can't get into other functions, even though Jaws
announces things like this as tabs, or has in the past, so I thought I
should be able to control tab from one to the other. Also, it's my
experience that a lot of items in the interface are either unlabeled or
their labels aren't associated to them in the way we need for Jaws to make
sense of them. So there are always things I have to just skip over and hope
for the best.

a person on this list once suggested I use the applications context menu key
(to the left of the right-side control key) to get control of some things in
the program, but that doesn't provide any help, either. By which I mean the
items I need to control at a given time do not come up in that menu,
either.itmes

Which version are you using? Do you have special skills and strategies
you've developed that you could share?

Thanks a lot.

Easy CD-DA Extractor works well with JAWS.

GoldWave's batch converter utility will do the job for you. GoldWave is
more than an audio converter though so you may not want to use that. Hope
this helps.

I am trying to find out which music converting programs will work with
jaws. I want to be able to convert wma files to mp3 music format. I am
running windows xp, jaws 9, and using media player 11. Thanks for any advice
with this situation.
