That is so interesting, Mickey. But I'm wondering why you are doing the
Find function (Control F).
Hmmm. What version of Word are you using? Did you do the original edit or
did someone else do it on a different version of Word and then you got it?
Can you select all, copy it, open a new document and paste it? Can you save
it as RTF (Rich Text File) and then re-open it in Word to see if something
in the document is goofing it up?
Will it work properly on your laptop but not on your desktop machine? Why?
Can you copy the document to diskette and move it to your laptop? Will it
work there or do you get the same results?
This is almost like a detective mystery, the way these things work.
