Hi:go to windows firewall in the control file and in the general tab if the firewall is "off", move your cursor up (one) and it will say "on", tab to "OK" and you will be all set.

Hi Chris I shall definitely give Look'n'Stop a try. However, my problem with turning Windows Firewall on, is that I do go to Windows Firewall in the Control Panel and saw on the general tab that windows fire wall is off. My question is how do I get the checkbox checked using Jaws to turn it on? I do not manage with the Jaws cursor and a sighted friend failed using the mouse.Does one switch this on by going to one of the other tabs - exception tab oradvance settings? Then, can Look'n'Stop be used with AVG and Windows Defender? Is Look'n'Stop a free program? Thank so much! So for better protection I suggest you give Look'N'Stop a try. Hope that helps. Why not join my Blind Hobbyist group? I am using AVG 8 free and Windows Defender for protection. For some or other reason Windows Fire Wall is off (not recommended)? Should I switch this on and where and how do I do this using the latest version of Jaws 9. Thanks.
