labeling edit fields

Hi listers,
I use a certain program, for completing a specific task.

There are many edit fields and these fields are labeled with numbers.
I wish to know if I could label those numbers so that it would make life easier 
knowing which edit field is which.
is it possible to do that with jaws like you can label graphics?
By the way, I press tab to move through the different edit fields.
Your help would be appreciated.
