I don't remember anything that I could not access. If you can find a
help topic or two to read before you run the program, it would probably
be helpful. I felt a little lost through the process.

Cher I guess there's always a risk when you run even a registry
cleaner. I'd
still rather do that than manually editing the registry. My hunch is
that it
may not work well under win 98 though. To keep things on topic, did you
have
to use the Jaws cursor a lot? Were you able to tab through to the
different
buttons? In truth I'm quite happy with Reg scrub xp, Debbie Scales
wrote
some basic scripts for it, works quite well but I was only considering

giving Registry Mechanic a try. With Reg scrub you can tab to different

buttons when you first open the program, I like that.

I used it on my Win98SE system with JAWS 7.0. Seemed accessible but
my
sick 98 got even worse after I ran it and the 'restore' or whatever
option, did not improve things. PC Magazine was hot on it and that
was
how I found out about it, but was left with questions. However, I'm
totally a non-techy, so may have messed it up or itmay be that my
system
was not salvageable at that point.

Hi to all on list:

I use Reg Scrub xp found on jfw lite page, and I like it even though I
don't
use it all that often. It appears that my registry is clean now. But
has
anyone had any success with the program called Registry Mechanic? From
what
I've read it's one of the top five registry cleaners around and I'm
sure it
will find things that the reg scrub program tends to miss. I kind of
remember this being talked about earlier this summer but at the time I

didn't pay close attention. Is it usable with the Jaws cursor in terms
of
monitoring a scan and accessing the various options? To me it doesn't
matter
if there are scripts, but that too would be great. Any info at all is
welcome in terms of how it works with jfw.

Hal using Jaws 7.1
